My name is Christian Edgington and I was recently promoted this semester to Account Executive on the JPAC Account. I joined ImPRessions in January of last year, and I have enjoyed it ever since! I began my work with ImPRessions on the Athens County Humane Society account and I helped with the planning of Woof and Wine, a fundraiser that was held during mom’s weekend last year. I will always enjoy the work I did with the Athens County Humane Society, and I still use many of the same skills that I had learned from my work with them. Now, my responsibility is to get the message of the Joint Police Advisory Council to the rest of the community. This semester I have a lot planned in terms of engagement within the community, as well as with students.
Currently, I am in the process of updating and renovating the JPAC website (www.athensohiojpac.org/) and I’m excited to have a website that is more interactive and content-driven. I believe that having a usable website is the basis for an organization. From this website, the organization will be able to reach out to a greater number of people, and I can work more heavily on the client’s social media.
Another plan that is in store for this semester is an event that allows students to clean up the community, and learn more about JPAC at the same time. The event will feature food for volunteers, as well as police officers from the community. Though this event requires a lot of planning and marketing beforehand, I feel that it could be very beneficial for my client. This event is in the works, but will hopefully be held during the end of this semester.
I am very excited to see what is in store for the rest of the semester, and I hope to accomplish a great number of projects in my new position!
